Expert

You can currently make your dream of a tube ride come true in our Expert Session in A-Frame mode. In the first half of our Expert A-Frame Session, you'll get a turn-focused wave for vertical top-to-bottom surfing, followed by hollow breaking waves for barrel rides in the second half.

Your surf session in the wave pool lasts 60 minutes. Depending on the level, the surf sessions also include a more or less detailed briefing and de-briefing, so you can plan with a surf experience of up to two hours. 

There will be a maximum of 13 surfers per Surfzone, and you will get a minimum of 12 waves. Just like in the ocean, you will surf your wave and paddle back into the lineup afterwards. Our surf coaches and lifeguards make sure that there is a non-competitive and good vibe on the water so everyone will have a great surf experience. Like this we can guarantee a fair amount of wave attempts per session for every surfer.

In our wave pool, surfing takes place in up to four different zones at the same time. There is a maximum of 16 surfers per surf zone. Due to the limited number of surfers per zone, you are guaranteed a fair amount of wave attempts in a relaxed lineup.

Our sessions in the levels First-Timer to Progressive always include an intensive coaching by our professional instructors. In our Intermediate and Advanced levels, a surf guide is available for questions and tips. The Expert and Pro levels do not include coaching, however, all sessions will be supervised by one of our professional lifeguards without exception. In addition, there will be special coaching offers for our Intermediate, Advanced, Expert and Pro surfing levels.

The surf sessions included in the pre-sale packages can be used at the peak in the A-frame mode and in the beginner zone.

At O₂ SURFTOWN MUC, you can surf any surfboard you like. From shortboards to longboards, we offer suitable waves for every style and level of surfing. With our surf rental you have the opportunity to test high-quality surfboards of all shapes and sizes. Our beginner sessions include learner-friendly softboards.

For children aged 6 to 10, we offer special surf courses with a playful coaching approach. Currently, we do not offer any family packages - but you can of course enjoy a surf session as a family with your kids from the age of 11 years.

For independent and safe bodyboarders, we can offer to participate in our regular surf sessions from the Intermediate level. Currently, we do not offer beginner courses or special sessions for bodyboarders. For safety reasons we do not allow surfing with stand-up paddle boards in our regular surf sessions. However, we are planning to offer special stand-up paddle sessions in the future.

For safety reasons, we only allow softboards in our beginner zone. Our beginner boards are included in the session price but you are welcome to bring and use your own softboard in the session. The use of hard-top surfboards is permitted for the intermediate level and above.

To ensure that you arrive on time for the briefing of your session on site, please allow enough time for your travels, check-in and rental equipment collection such as changing process. Depending on the session, the necessary leadtime may vary and will be communicated to you during your booking.

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to surf multiple sessions in a row without leaving the water. Between each surf session, a briefing is required where important information and safety instructions for the respective surf levels are provided. These briefings are essential to ensure that all participants are well-informed and properly prepared for the session. However, we are already working on a concept to make this possible in the future.

In our A-Frame mode, you have to decide before booking whether you want to surf lefts or rights in a session. Of course you can book multiple sessions in a row to surf both options. In our Point Break sessions, you will surf both lefts and rights within one session.

In our A-Frame mode, waves breaks from the center of the surf pool to the left and right. This creates rights and lefts simultaneously. The waves run along the wave generator and can be adjusted to various surf levels - from progressive to pro.
In our Point Break mode, the waves run along the entire length of the pool at the wave generator. Our Point Break mode allows waves with rides up to 18 seconds long in the largest setting and offers different sections for various turns, barrels or airs. However, it is also possible to have more relaxed, long waves for cruising or longboarding.

Sessions in our Point Break mode will be launched with our big opening. We are planning to offer sessions for the surf levels Intermediate, Advanced and Expert with different waves and requirements.
