From 13:00, SURFTOWN MUC will open its waves exclusively for our members. The highlight of the day will be two brand new expert sessions - Barrel and Turns Only - which will not officially start until December, but can be booked exclusively for you on the day of the event.

A-Frame Progressive Guided:
This session is ideal for surfers who have already taken their first green waves and now want to train more independently. A coach is available to answer your questions while you surf freely. Softboards are included, but hardboards and longboards are also permitted.
Expert A-Frame Barrels:
Ready for intense barrel rides? This session offers powerful, hollow breaking waves that are ideal for tubes and even airs.
Expert A-Frame Turns:
For those who want to improve their turn game. Here you can perfect radical maneuvers and vertical surfing on powerful waves.
Winter kit for the cold season
To keep you warm even in cold temperatures, we offer a winter kit (hood, shoes, gloves) for just 10 euros. So you'll be perfectly equipped for the winter waves!
Break for the beginner zone
In the low season, our first-timer and rookie sessions go into winter break. There will be no sessions in the beginner zone until April 2025, so make the most of the remaining sessions before the break ends.
On October 13, 2024, we experienced a historic event at Germany's first surf park in Hallbergmoos: for the first time in 28 years, the German Surf Championships took place on home soil. Over 10,000 spectators flocked to the venue to watch 123 of the best female surfers live, while thousands watched the spectacle online.
Camilla Kemp secured the title of German Shortboard Champion 2024, while Leon Glatzer triumphed in the men's event. Jamie O'Brien, Hawaiian surf pro, also impressed as a special guest.
These championships were a strong signal for the future of German surfing - including para-surfing and stand-up paddling in a wave pool, which is unique in the world. All results are available here.
Filming your waves can be challenging, especially when you want to focus entirely on surfing. Our solution: Flowstate. On August 10, 2024, we proudly opened the doors of the O2 SURFTOWN MUC - Germany's first and Europe's largest surf park. Just outside Munich, we offer a world-class surfing destination that sets new standards for professionals and beginners alike.
With our innovative wave technology, which generates waves up to 2.2 meters high at the touch of a button, we create a surfing experience that is in no way inferior to the sea. Olympic surfers such as Camilla Kemp and Leon Glatzer have already enthusiastically taken to our facility - clear proof that O2 SURFTOWN MUC is a game changer for German surfing.
Our vision? To make surfing an experience for everyone, right in the heart of Bavaria. O2 SURFTOWN MUC is not only a hotspot for surfing, but also an international magnet that redefines the pulse of surfing in Europe.

We are very happy about the enormous interest and enthusiasm you have shown us since the opening of the booking calendar. At the same time, we would like to address some of the challenges that have arisen during the booking process and share with you the solutions we are working on to make your experience as smooth as possible.
We are overwhelmed by the huge rush for our surf sessions. This has led to technical issues that have caused frustration for many of you. Our servers were overloaded at times in the beginning, causing delays and booking problems. We reacted immediately and switched up new servers to cope with the increased demand. As a result, future bookings will run more smoothly. We are also currently checking whether we can offer you additional member sessions during the pre-opening phase to meet the high demand. More information on this will follow shortly.
Some of you have told us that there have been delays and difficulties during the booking process. We are very sorry about this and are working hard to resolve these issues. We have increased the number of staff in our customer service team to be able to answer your queries as quickly as possible. If you continue to have problems, you can reach us at any time via the contact page on our website. We have also compiled the most frequently asked questions and their solutions here to help you with your booking:
One voucher code per booking process
Only one voucher code can be used per booking process. If you would like to purchase several sessions with voucher codes, you will have to go through the booking process several times.
Too frequent use of the voucher code during the booking process
If you have used a voucher code several times during the booking process (e.g. because you have tried several times to book an A-Frame session with a beginner voucher or to use several codes in one booking), it will be blocked for approx. 60 minutes for security reasons. Please wait for this time, after which your voucher code will be usable again.
You cannot find your sessions from the presale packages in your account because you have created yourself as a family member
If you have created the SURFTOWN account in your name and also registered yourself as a family member, the booking system may not be able to correctly assign the presale packages you have purchased. Your sessions will then not be displayed in your account or in the booking process. In this case, please do not delete any family members, but contact our Customer Service team, who will be happy to help you as quickly as possible. On 20.07.24 we celebrated the comeback of the weekly Hang 10 event at Santo Loco Surfshop in Munich! We had the opportunity to share our experiences and adventures around the first surf park in Germany with the community.

The Wave Operator Tower, which towers high above the surf center, was installed this week and is now being completed. This tower will be the heart of our operations control system and offers the wave operator a perfect overview of the entire surfing area.
From here, the wave operator will monitor the surf sessions, control the wave programs and always keep an eye on the latest weather data in order to be able to react quickly to severe weather warnings or extreme weather conditions.
With this new control center, your surfing experience will always be safe and perfectly organized.
The latest advancement brings us a big step closer to the perfect surfing experience: the LED wall is installed in the middle of the wave generator.
This huge screen, which sits directly above the wave pool, gives us numerous opportunities to show you the perfect content. Whether live surf sessions, impressive video recordings or inspiring clips - the LED wall will be the centerpiece of our visual communication.

Last week, the team members who will be working in the O2 SURFTOWN MUC area completed an intensive three-day first aid training course. Safety is our top priority, so it is important to us that our staff are well trained and can help quickly and competently in an emergency.
The preparations for the O2 SURFTOWN MUC are progressing rapidly.
At the weekend, our logo was projected onto the black wall of the wave generator and painted on. The O2 SURFTOWN MUC continues to take shape and we look forward to welcoming you soon!
On Tuesday, we welcomed a total of 27 new surf coaches and lifeguards to SURFTOWN. The start kicked off with a big breakfast, allowing everyone to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere. Our CEO, Chris, warmly welcomed everyone and emphasized the important role of each team member.
After breakfast, there was a brief introduction to tasks and safety protocols. Over the next three days, an internal training session will take place to ensure our team is well-prepared.

Last week 15 prospective surf coaches completed their ISA training with Austrian Surfing. This intensive course comprised 7 days of ISA training and a 3-day Life Saver course. During the training, coaching content was taught, role plays were carried out, the structure of a surf lesson was practiced and both theoretical and practical exams were taken.
Our newly qualified surf coaches can hardly wait to take their first coaching sessions in the water with you!
On Friday, the management of SURFTOWN and the event team had the great opportunity to test a large part of the menu of our Lookout restaurant. The tasting dinner took place together with Allresto at Airbräu at the nearby airport.
Everyone was delighted with the variety and quality of the dishes. From tasty pastries and fresh bowls to delicious curries and burgers - the Lookout menu has something for everyone.

Last week, we had a high-ranking visit to the O2 SURFTOWN MUC construction site: representatives from Myrtha Pools, our pool technology partner, came by to take a look at the progress. Myrtha Pools, a world-leading expert in pool construction with over 60 years of experience, is making a significant contribution to the success of our project with its innovative Myrtha Skin technology.
The Myrtha Skin technology used for the surface of our pool is renowned for its durability and sustainability. It combines advanced stainless steel processing with the highest performance to meet the demanding conditions of water sports.
The visit from Myrtha Pools was an important milestone to ensure the early completion of our project.
We are proud to have Myrtha Pools as a partner and look forward to ushering in a new era of the surfing experience in Munich together.
At O2 SURFTOWN MUC, it is important to us to create a place where everyone can express their enthusiasm for surfing in as many different ways as possible.
That's why a colorful mix of personalities has accompanied us for over a year in the development of this project.
This group of people supports us in important decision-making processes and we have already worked together a lot: The design of sessions and the pricing model have been implemented in a customer-oriented way, with communication channels being jointly defined and the basic needs of users being better understood. By testing the UX design of the website and presale store early on, as well as benchmarking with the competition, we were able to develop a product portfolio that is strongly oriented towards the needs of our customers.
Last Friday, the time had come: they visited us for the first time on the construction site in Hallbergmoos to take a first look at what we are creating together. The shining eyes and beaming faces confirmed that we are on the right track.

We're back with some great news from the construction site! The construction work is in full swing and the O2 SURFTOWN MUC is slowly taking shape. Soon our wave pool will be filled with water and we will test the first waves.
In the last few weeks, we have reached a special milestone: our surf center is now shining with its complete roof construction and glazing and the interior work is already in full swing.
The surf center is the heart of the O2 SURFTOWN MUC. Here you will find everything a surfer's heart desires. From a smooth check-in process to our well-equipped surf store. And of course our restaurant with sun terrace, where you can enjoy a selection of delicious and healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes as well as a variety of café specialties.
Our Surfcenter offers space for up to 400 people. In addition, both the roof and the terrace each have space for a further 400 people. It is also possible to rent the Surfcenter for events - whether for smaller events or exclusive events, depending on requirements and the number of participants.

Since the announcement last year, we have been working hard to finally make our vision of surfing in Munich a reality.
Thanks to the support of the municipality of Hallbergmoos and the relevant authorities, we can now finally get started. Our aim is to offer a unique surfing experience that inspires people of all ages and abilities. With flexible waves that can reach heights of 30 cm to 2.5 meters, there is something for every surfing level.
