Hallbergmoos/Munich, April 2026 – Citroën is the new official automotive partner of O₂ SURFTOWN MUC in Hallbergmoos. A Citroën C5 Aircross is on display at the facility year-round, complemented by a workbench stocked with surfing equipment for preparation between sessions. In addition, Citroën is providing the O₂ SURFTOWN MUC team with eight fleet vehicles.
O₂ SURFTOWN MUC is Germany’s only wave pool—featuring Europe’s longest artificial wave and the world’s leading pneumatic endless surf technology. This makes it a training ground for Olympic athletes and a showcase for modern surfing. Citroën, the official automotive partner of Team Germany, brings both worlds together through this partnership.
The first highlight of the collaboration: the Rip Curl Nations Trophy presented by Citroën on May 9, 2026—Europe’s most spectacular team surfing contest on a 180-meter artificial wave, featuring an international field of competitors.
This will be followed in September by the Rip Curl Grom Search presented by Citroën (September 18–19, 2026), the world’s most significant platform for young surfers.
